Who we are and how we work
PBSVUSA NPC (Pitbull Special Victims Unit SA) is a community-driven nonprofit working to protect people and animals across South Africa. We focus on prevention, education, and responsible ownership so that families and communities are safer.
Our values
- Compassion: We meet people where they are and help without judgement.
- Accountability: We act with integrity and steward resources transparently.
- Community partnership: We collaborate with vetted partners to create local, lasting change.
We work proactively to reduce risk and harm:
- Prevention first: Public awareness, safety training, and practical resources for families.
- Education that empowers: Workshops, guides, and campaigns promoting responsible ownership and safe interactions.
- Coordinated assistance: We triage cases and collaborate with trusted partners for specialized support.
Where we operate: Based in Margate, KZN, we support communities across South Africa through our network.
What we do not do: We are not an emergency rescue service, law enforcement, or a shelter. When needed, we connect you to the right authority or partner.
